During the final semester of our college careers, my peers and I were asked to create a promotional piece for our senior show. This show would not only feature design work, but also painting, ceramics, and art education portfolios. The project required that we work collaboratively to create a multimedia piece that promoted each concentration equally.
The “We Create Because…” campaign stemmed from a desire to focus on our passion for creating and problem-solving. Rather than place emphasis solely on what we have already achieved, we wanted to highlight the concept-based creative process we have each adopted, which will continue to drive us throughout our careers. A postcard, poster and website were developed featuring quotes from our classmates. Collaboration was key in keeping this concept consistent throughout each element of the campaign.
My contributions to this project included concept, color and type palettes as well as the layout and design of the postcard.
